He was ultimately accused of fraud and removed from the UK medical register by the GMC.
He is now a filmmaker, directing and producing various films including Vaxxed: from Cover-Up to Catastrophe and 1986: The Act.

In 2002, Dr Donegan – a family doctor – acted as an expert in a case for two mothers whose ex-partners were applying to have their children vaccinated.
The GMC accused her of serious professional misconduct, despite acknowledging her to be
'objective, independent and unbiased’.
She was removed from the GMC register in 2023.
